Here I go again...

So I know that I have not blogged for a VERY long time... 4 months to be exact and the main reason is life has been a whirlwind of things going on and A TON has happened... but I promise from here on out, I will be better :) I'm sitting here at 1:30 in the morning waiting for my stupid Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake to finish cooking. I made on earlier only to have it fall from the fridge onto the floor at about 11:30 pm. Make another one? I had to, because I promised to have its deliciousness for family dinner tomorrow :(... 4th of July and Florida!

Well I've got to say it has been an awesome couple of weeks! For the 4th Lane and I went to downtown Saint Louis with our friend Chase and Dana. The place that I intern at was having a party and so we got to watch the fireworks on the 8th story balcony across the street from the arch! While we missed our families so much, we still had an awesome time with our friends!

Our awesome view!

Me and Dana pants waiting for our food outside!

The couple we don't know what we'd do without!

Beautiful huh??!

Lane and I also were able to go to Florida for a few days. I left on Friday the 5th and Lane came over on the 8th. We had a blast with my family going to the beach, Universal Studios and DISNEY WORLD! :) It was a bitter sweet trip. As a lot of you know my parents will be leaving for their Mission to Cambodia so it was a last family gathering before they take off for 2 years. I'm going to miss them so much! I am so grateful for them. They are what keeps our family together and have devoted themselves to serving everyone else, but themselves. I love them so much!

A little tired after the beach. I "sunscreened" lane, but apparently not enough because he came home with a horrible burn. :(

The fam before "Its a small world". This was by far Lanes favorite ride ;) My dad kept dancing to the music while the rest of us sang to the theme song as we started our journey into the ride... We're nuts, haha!

Steak and Shake was the dinner of choice 2 nights... The only place where we didn't have to wait to seat 25 people.

My nephews are getting so grown up!

The Winner of the Biggest Loser Challenge: Kristi Rodgerson! woo hoo sis!

I sure do miss hanging out with the my girls! Such a fun trip!

Overall life has been great this summer! We're very excited to get back close to family though. I think both of us realized how much we really do miss them with the trip! We love you all and can't wait to see you in just a month!

Lovin' life!

So Missouri really has been a blast! We love it! The trees here are beautiful! We have had a few scares with the crazy weather. In fact I've heard the tornado sirens a total of 5 times since we moved here :/ Still haven't seen a tornado and I hope it stays that way!

The crazy beautiful sky!

Dana and me posing in front of the pretty sky on our balcony!

Its been so fun having Chase and Dana here! While our hubbies are at work Dana and I have our girl days when we're not working. We watch Anne of Green Gables and lay by the pool! Such a rough life! ;) We've had a lot of fun going on dates with them too! Last Friday we went to downtown Saint Louis and walked around. It was a blast! Every Sunday Dana and I have been making Lane and Chase dinners then we all play games and watch movies! I don't know what I'd do if they weren't here!Cute Dana and Chase!

Us in front of the arch!

Our cute hubbies watching the turtles!

I know they look ugly, but when you see them in real life they're kinda cute!

Lane next to the alligators... he was scared!

This snake was huge! Scared me to death really...
These bears were my favorite thing at the zoo!
Missouri really has been such a fun experience. While it is a little stressful for Lane, he has been doing really great on his sales and it has brought us even closer as a couple! Lane has really been awesome with his sales and is such a great manager! He does an awesome job at being the boss! I think he'll be happy when the summer is over though and he can take it easy for a bit. :) He's such an amazing hubby and I am so grateful he's such a hard worker. He does so much for me. I know I will always be secure and protected with him. I am so grateful for that!

Putting out the vibe...
Well that's all for now, but I promise to keep everyone updated more often! We're off to watch Prison Break with Dana and Chase... I think it will be my new addiction... its SO good!

A little late...

So I realize I'm not so wonderful at updating out blog and I'm sorry. I will try much harder. :) It has been a busy few weeks. About 2 weeks ago Lane and I started packing and preparing for a move half way across the country(or so the drive felt like) to St.Louis Missouri. In between packing and trying to wind up last minute ties I GRADUATED... then 3 days later we were off. We drove 8hours to Colorado and then left early the next morning for a 12 hour drive to Missoui. We love it here! We have an awesome apartment in a nice area... its SO green. On Saturday I was able to meet my boss for the internship I scored at the National Children's Cancer Society. She's an awesome woman... she's about 50 years old, loves rap, used to be a T.V. news anchor and producer... She told me where the office is so Lane and I went and checked it out today. My office is directy across the street from the "arch" in downtown st.louis, next to the Busch Stadium where the Cardinals play. I have to admit it is fun knowing that I'm going to have a "big girl city job" for the next 4 months... I feel pretty special :)... Well... that's a short update, but I promise I will start updating at least once a week about our adventrues in St. Louis... with pictures... Love you all!

The Biggest Loser: Fairchild Style

In our most recent trip to Colorado our family has created our own "Biggest Loser" challenge. Lane and I have already taken this challenge in full stride and have both been to the gym morning and night for the last 3 days. Lane has lost 3 lbs since weigh in yesterday... me 2. This is serious business people! We're looking forward to a vacation with the hottest family at the beach! :)

To help our family out we've compiled a list of tips for losing those pounds that you should follow strictly...

1. For breakfast eat 4 pieces of toast smothered in "Nutella"

2. At lunch, fill yourself up at one of the following resturaunts: "McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Arbys, and/or Wendys" (*important note: in order to be successful only order LARGE meals with burgers and extra fries)

3. Instead of water, drink soda... LOTS of soda

4. For dinner eat what you want, but make sure it is extremely high in fat content and contains NO fruit or veggies (these two things are very bad for you)
5. Before bed, make yourself a peanut butter and bannana sandwhich... this is guaranteed to help you burn off those extra calories as you sleep
6. And last, but defenitly not least, DO NOT EXCERCISE... it will only stress your body out, causing you to gain more weight!

Lane and I both hope these tips help you, as they have helped us in our weight loss plan......... Oh, and one last thing.... BRING IT ON!

We love you! :)

Honeymoon in Jackson Hole

The most beautiful view I have ever seen...
In front of the famous "Elk Horn Archway"
Old Faithful starting up... My first time ever seeing it!
Reason # 7698 why Lane and I are perfect for each other
Right before our freezing cold rafting trip...

For our honeymoon we got to go to Jackson Hole, WY... we had such a fun relaxing week. We went to yellowstone one day, riving rafting another(holy cow it was freezing, but FUN), walked around town, and went to a lot of old shows and resturaunts... it was an awesome week together as a new married couple... I have never seen such beautiful scenery in my life... it was perfect.
